Spencer is a gawky geek who does not know how to talk to people, so his beautiful sister Jolene provides him with much needed social guidance. Hurricane Elmer is heading toward their waterfront home in South Florida, and the kids, with neighbor Justin, are going to Hanson House, a large, upscale assisted living facility, with their mothers to help out during and after the storm. Spencer’s unruly dog comes along. Tongue-tied and dependent on his sister for guidance, Spencer rises to the challenges created by the hurricane.
